In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Russia demonstrated varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at these apps:

2GIS: Offline map & navigation saw a consistent download pattern, peaking at about 153K in late August. However, a decline was observed towards the end of September, with downloads falling to around 115K. The app maintained a robust level of weekly active users, experiencing a gradual increase from 3.6M to approximately 4M by the end of the quarter.

Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a steady decline in downloads throughout the quarter, starting from nearly 134K in early July and dropping to about 93K by the end of September. Despite this, the weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick in mid-August reaching around 12.2M before settling to approximately 11.9M by the quarter's end.

Yandex Navigator followed a similar download trend, beginning with about 95K and decreasing to roughly 80K by late September. The weekly active users showed a minor decline over the quarter, starting at 2.5M and dropping to approximately 2.3M.

GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 44K in late July, then decreasing to about 28K by the end of September. Active users showed a slight decrease, starting from approximately 89K and ending the quarter at about 83K.

However, its weekly active users increased, from 218K to around 275K, indicating growing engagement.
